Lots to do...

Sorry for the lack of blogging...I'll be 39 weeks pregnant this Friday and we actually thought I might be in labor this past Monday.  It was a rough day, but eventually the contractions stopped...so it seems like I'll be pregnant for a least a little bit longer ;)

We've been running around getting all of our home birth stuff together and ready...there is a lot more to prepare than I originally thought ;)

As far as our adoption process goes....we've already sent out our I800....yeah!  That was a big thing that needed to get done and we've already received a letter from the Dept. of Homeland Security saying that they have received it.  All good things.  We also needed to get our medical forms re-done, since they expire before the adoption process is finished.  This has not proven to be as easy as we had hoped.   But today we got some great news that the Dr. there has decided to just sign off on our medicals for us and I can go pick them up today!  Yes!  These forms have really needed to get done because we still need to have them apostilled (an official seal put on them in Columbia, SC.) before we can even have them sent out to our adoption agency.

Basically, our adoption is waiting on these forms so we really need to get them done and sent out.  Even though I am VERY pregnant, we might be making a last minute trip, in person, down to Columbia (1 1/2 hours away) to get these forms apostilled and mailed out ASAP.  We're just not sure how long our forms would sit on a desk in Columbia before they got stamped to sent out...at least if we went in person, it would be done that day and mailed straight out.   It sounds crazy, but we just want to make sure that our little boy isn't waiting any longer than he needs to be for us to come and bring him home.

Pray I don't go into labor, ok?  :)

  1. My goodness, you have a lot going on. Hope you get your papers apostilled and mailed before you have the baby. Wow, a new baby and then a few months later a new son from Bulgaria. I will pray for your family that all goes smoothly.

  2. Just catching up after being in Bulgaria last week. Praying all is going well with both pregnancy (or new baby by now) and your adoption.
