We spent some time out in the garden on Saturday. Have I mentioned how awesome our chickens are? Our whole family is pretty smitten with them ;) We were weeding my insanely weedy garden and the chicks came out to forage for bugs while we pulled up the weeds. They seem to think our sole purpose in the garden is to find tasty treats for them to eat! The spent the whole time winding their way between our feet, nuzzling up to our hands, visiting and then going off to explore...our whole family thinks their awesome.

This son is particularly good with the chickens...he takes them out of the tractor to hang out with them every day. He's like our "chicken whisperer" :)
I'm sure there will be many more posts about adoption over the next week...just wanted to take a chance to post about our homestead and "the ladies" as Dan and I call them :)
